The park is made up of the karstic canyons of Velika and Mala Paklenica, vertically engraved in the southern slopes of the Velebit mountain. Nature has carved its most beautiful karstic phenomena here, strewn with wooded valleys and mountain meadows. Diverse flora and fauna will make you feel like you are in the Garden of Eden. Below the karst there is a different world that is best reflected in the Manita peć cave, and if you are prefer heights to depths, then this European climbing center is an ideal place for you. With rocks of over 400 m, with almost 400 climbing directions, Paklenica is open for climbers from early spring to late autumn.
